Due to Junction Upgrade Works on the N6 Athlone Relief Road the following road closures will be in place at Junction 9 Garrycastle over this weekend the 24th and 25th of March
The N6 Mainline under Junction 9 of the Athlone Relief Road will be closed from 11:00 hrs on Saturday 24th March 2012 to 14:00 hrs on Sunday 25th March 2012 to facilitate the lifting into position of the steel pedestrian bridge adjacent to the existing Garrycastle overbridge.
Traffic will be diverted off the N6 up the off ramps and will then have to cross the Garrycastle Road which is also open to traffic with priority and renter the mainline back down the on ramps.

Due to Junction Upgrade Works on the N6 Athlone Relief Road the following road closures will be in place at Junction 9 Garrycastle over the coming weeks.
Junction 9 Garrycastle On and Off ramps will be closed from Thursday 1st March until Wednesday the 3rd April 2012.
Diversions will be in place and these diversions will be signposted and shown on the Council website.
The dual carriageway will also be down to one lane in each direction at Junction 9 for the same period.

Notice is hereby given that Westmeath County Council / Athlone Town Council intends to close to public traffic the roads described for periods as outlined hereunder to facilitate Junction Upgrade Works on the Athlone Relief Road (N6). These closures will be kept to an absolute minimum.
