Writings from Athlone

This section of athlone.ie showcases works of writers from Athlone or those who have connections with Athlone and the surrounding areas.  It is not surprising with such a wealth of local literary talent that we have an annual Athlone Literary Festival. The festival is aimed at readers and writers and all those who enjoy good conversation and good literature and it has featured many of the writers showcased in our 'Writings from Athlone'.

If you are from the area or live here and would like to submit published material, please mark it 'Writings from Athlone'.  We accept submissions in poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
